Baja Whales

Details: Tom and Cree will be returning to the place where they first met to photograph whales, humpbacks, gray whales and blue whales. Snorkel with sea lions and whale sharks. Photograph leaping dolphins and rays. Explore the beautiful desert coastline by boat. To top it all off, touch a gray whale from a small boat.


Iditarod and Aurora 2025

Dates: Feb 27-March 7, 2025   Half Full

Details: The Iditarod Sled Dog Race is called the “Last Great Race” in Alaska. Tom and Cree spent 10 years photographing and volunteering at the race when they lived in Alaska. Now they want to share that experience with you. On this workshop you will attend and photograph the Iditarod Musher Gala, the Ceremonial Iditarod start in downtown Anchorage, the Iditarod Restart in Willow, Alaska. We will fly in a small plane to the Iditarod checkpoint of Rainy Pass to photograph sled teams along the route. We finish with three nights of aurora photography and the Ice Carving Championship in Fairbanks. This is a real Alaskan Adventure!


Tucson and Saguaro National Park 2025

Details: Come photograph one of the most iconic landscapes of the West, the Sonoran Desert at Saguaro National Park.  Tucson is the perfect location to fully explore and photograph this mountainous desert environment. We’ve designed this workshop to be loaded with special photo opportunities, and timed to catch wildflower blooms in the desert. We’ve spent many years photographing in this area, and a blazing orange sunset framed by a towering saguaro cactus is an image every photographer should capture.

Details:  If you are looking to take your wildlife photography to the next level, we have the trip for you.  Come join us for warm weather bird and wildlife photography from the amazing ranch blinds of South Texas.  Photographing birds from a blind may change the way you plan your future photography trips. By setting up perches and using bird food to lure them in, the birds will come to you. South Texas is a mecca for bird photography blinds. On this trip we will spend several days learning to photography exotic South Texas species from some of the best bird photography ranches in the country.  On our last trip there we shot thousands of images in only a few days.  We will have exclusive use of the ranches and multiple blinds each day.


Redwoods & Rocky Coastlines 2025

 Details: Of all the wilderness areas in the US, Redwoods National Park may be the most awe-inspiring. It is home of the world’s largest and tallest trees. Walking through the redwoods in coastal California envelops the photographer in foggy, other-worldly terrain. The giant trees lumber toward the sky in a palette of chartreuse moss and deep red bark which contrast with the dark conifers. The Oregon coast is the second destination on our journey, a beachcomber’s paradise with layers of sea stacks. We chose the month of July for our workshop because it is the driest month of the summer. This offers the best chance to photograph beams of sunlight filtering through the fog.                                     

Arizona Hummingbirds

Details:  Join Tom and Cree at one of the best locations in the United States to photograph hummingbirds. You will learn to capture hummingbirds in flight as well as on perches. Each participant will be provided with their own multi flash station to use to capture hummingbirds in flight. When not photographing hummingbirds we will look for local wildlife like the coatimundi or nearby song birds.


Greenland Disko Bay

Description: Disko Bay is our favorite place to photograph massive icebergs and Humpback Whales in beautiful evening light. August is one of the warmest months in Greenland, with average high temperatures in the high 50s’s. The icefjord in Disko Bay, is an UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will explore this magical location in small boats as we meander through the icebergs looking for whales, golden light the occasional calving ice face. Bird lovers can photograph Northern Fulmar, Black legged Kittiwakes and Glaucous Gulls as they fly past the rails on our boat. When we are not out on the water, we will explore the colorful houses, iconic black church and sled dogs that live in the town of Ilullssat, our home base for the tour.


Ouray Fall Colors

Details: Western Colorado in the fall has one of the most vibrant displays of autumn color in the United States.  Home to the densest groves of aspen trees in the country, brilliant gold and orange aspens saturate the valleys below the jagged snow-capped peaks of the San Juan Mountains.  The air is cool, the elk are bugling in the forest, and the night skies are great for star photography.


Acadia Fall Colors

Details: Acadia National Park is one of our favorite fall destinations.  Imagine photographing misty lakes lined by red maples and yellow birch while loons wail in the distance?  Or how about photographing sunrise along the rocky coast as waves swirl around polished boulders?  And after photography sessions you can savor fresh blueberry pancakes at breakfast and Maine lobster at dinner.  You get the picture….we love this area!

Details: The mainland of Greece (Peloponnese region) has a lot to offer: a very rich history and culture, picturesque coastline dotted with fishing towns, olive groves and fascinating landmarks. We will photograph the Acropolis at blue hour in Athens and then head to the countryside in Greece to explore harvest time in rural Greece, lemons, oranges and kalamata olives. We are sure to find a portrait or two of the locals along the way.

Botswana Photo Safari

Details: We start our safari on Botswana’s famed Chobe National Park riverfront.  The big draw here is incredible boat trips on the Chobe River with its high concentrations of elephant, hippo, baboons, waterbuck and Cape Buffalo.  Our boat is specially designed for photographers with swivel chairs allowing us to achieve the highest quality river based photography. 

Our second destination is the legendary Okavango Delta, widely considered Africa’s best wilderness safari experience.  Here we have a safari camp that is ideally located in an area that provides dry land for top notch game drives but also has sufficient channels to explore the Okavango by boat.  Use of a team of guides and trackers maximizes opportunities to locate and follow predators, including rarer species like lion, cheetah, leopard and African wild dogs.

Antarctica and South Georgia – SOLD OUT
