Acadia Fall Colors Photography Workshop

SOLD OUT

Location: Bar Harbor, Maine

Dates: October 12-16, 2025, Sunday at 7 pm – Thursday after morning shoot

Cost: $1899                               Group size: 10 people

Details: Acadia National Park is one of our favorite fall destinations.  Imagine photographing misty lakes lined by red maples and yellow birch while loons wail in the distance?  Or how about photographing sunrise along the rocky coast as waves swirl around polished boulders?  And after photography sessions you can savor fresh blueberry pancakes at breakfast and Maine lobster at dinner.  You get the picture….we love this area!

We will be based in Bar Harbor during this workshop.  Each day we will photograph different areas and subject matter.  Stunning fall scenery and small babbling brooks create fantastic autumn photography.  Small ponds and quiet bays offer colorful fall reflections.  We’ll also explore quaint fishing villages and take a sunset cruise to photograph a lighthouse.  A typical day will involve morning and evening shoots, with classroom sessions and breaks midday.

This is a great workshop to learn and practice a wide variety of photography techniques.  We’ll start with composition, design theory and enhancing creativity.  Then we will explore macro techniques, motion landscapes, filter use and multiple exposures.    If you have a speedlight, bring it, because we will demo speedlight techniques in nature photography (see Tom’s article for Nikon).  No matter what level of photographer you are, you will leave inspired and with new photography skills.
