South Texas Birds

Tom and I just returned from a week of bird photography in South Texas. We were so impressed that we decided to run a winter workshop there next year – hitting the peak time for raptors in South Texas. There are only 8 spaces on this trip to make sure that each participant has plenty of room in the bird blinds.

Limited to 8 people: 1 space available

Location: McAllen & Rio Grande City

Dates: February 18-23, 2020  Tuesday evening 6:30 pm – Sunday morning                                                                    Cost: $2499

Details: If you are looking to take your wildlife photography to the next level, we have the trip for you.  Come join us for warm weather bird and wildlife photography from the amazing ranch blinds of South Texas.

Photographing birds from a blind may change the way you plan your future photography trips. By setting up perches and using bird food to lure them in, the birds will come to you. South Texas is a mecca for bird photography blinds. On this trip we will spend several days learning to photography exotic South Texas species from some of the best bird photography ranches in the country.  On our last trip there we shot thousands of images in only a few days.  We will have exclusive use of the ranches and multiple blinds each day.

  1. Cree,

I am known to shoot most of my images blind. Fortunately, b/c I have a smart camera, now and then they turn (tern?) out.

Glad you and Professor Tom had successful shoot. I am not a wildlife photographer, so I will pass on workshop. (Most of my wildlife “captures” are with an AK-47 equipped with telescopic sight.🤪J/k.)

    See you on Route 66!

Hope you two have a bellringer year.

    Tom
