Location: Svalbard and East Greenland
Details: This is a special, one time only, 13 day trip to four of the most remote places on the planet. Join Tom, Cree and Marcelo as we travel to photograph landscapes and wildlife in Svalbard, Greenland, Jan Mayen Island and Iceland. In Svalbard we will look for arctic species like walrus, reindeer, puffin and polar bears. We visit the remote island of Jan Mayen with the world’s northernmost volcano. In Greenland we will explore Scoresbysund – the Earth’s largest fjord system with towering icebergs and remote native settlements. We end the tour in Iceland where we disembark.
Tom and Cree will join up with Marcelo Martinez to create a bucket list workshop for 18 photographers. We have chosen the same boat we use for Antarctica, the MS Ocean Albatross. This tour is operated through Patagonia Travel Adventures and Polar Latitudes. The terms and conditions for Polar Latitudes will apply to this workshop, including their cancellation policies. Flight Package: There is a mandatory charter flight arranged as part of the cruise package from Oslo to Longyearbyen for an additional cost of approximately $1000 per person that will be added to each invoice.
Closest Airport: Fly to Oslo Airport in Norway (OSL). Spend the night in a complimentary hotel before flying to Longyearbyen in Svalbard. Embarkation point is Longyearbyen and disembark in Reykjavik, Iceland.
