Details: The Iditarod Sled Dog Race is called the “Last Great Race” in Alaska. Tom and Cree spent 10 years photographing and volunteering at the race when they lived in Alaska. Now they want to share that experience with you. On this workshop you will attend and photograph the Iditarod Musher Gala, the Ceremonial Iditarod start in downtown Anchorage, the Iditarod Restart in Willow, Alaska. We will fly in a small plane to the Iditarod checkpoint of Rainy Pass to photograph sled teams along the route. Limited to 5 photographers.


Brown Bears of Lake Clark 2026

Details: This is our most popular bear destination in Alaska and we are going in late July in hopes of photographing playful spring cubs! We start in Anchorage for a welcome dinner and fly to our comfortable lodge at Silver Salmon Creek in Lake Clark National Park to photograph coastal brown bears and their cubs. This time of year they graze on sedge grasses, dig for clams and start catching fish in the creek.  The bear density in this area is remarkable. We will spend our days photographing bears as well as  a morning photographing puffin by small boat.


Kenai Fjords National Park

Details: If Alaska is on your photography bucket list this workshop is for you. We will be visiting two of the gems of the Kenai Peninsula, Homer and Seward, Alaska. The Kenai Penninsula is know for it’s beautiful green mountains and it’s shoreline teeming with wildlife. While in Seward we will travel by boat into Kenai Fjords National Park to photograph calving glaciers and wildlife like Sea Otters, Humpback Whales, Stellar’s Sealion and more. We photograph snowy peaks while crossing over to Homer and spend the final few days photographing more sealife on Kachemak Bay.


Patagonia Photo Tour

Northern Lights: Fairbanks & Yukon River

Description: This is a special aurora trip traveling to the magic snow covered forest near the Yukon River. This small group workshop is limited to 6 photographers plus Tom and Cree. We start our arctic adventure with three nights in Fairbanks including a photo session at the International Ice Carving Championships and a session of dog sledding. Next we head north for 2 nights at Yukon River Camp, 60 miles south of the Arctic Circle. We will be staying at lodging right next to the mighty Yukon River, a fantastic place to photograph northern lights.


Costa Rica Rainforest

Description: Adventure with Tom and Cree Bol to Costa Rica to photograph the colorful mammals, birds and plants of the rain forest. Expect to wake up each morning listening to scarlet macaws in the almond trees near your room, and howler monkeys  ‘howling’ in the distance.  The resort grounds include an estuary with breeding snowy egrets, green herons, green kingfishers and boat-billed herons.  Other trails lead to the beach and through the forest where you will see toucans and perhaps a sloth hanging in the trees. Yellow-headed Caracaras and roadside hawks are common, and you can practice your panning technique as they fly past your room.    More Details
