Redwoods & Rocky Coastlands – SOLD OUT
Dates: July 25-29, 2018
Crescent City, CA & Bandon Beach, OR Cost: $1199
Details: Of all the wilderness areas in the US, Redwoods National Park may be the most awe-inspiring. It is home of the world’s largest and tallest trees. Walking through the redwoods in coastal California envelops the photographer in foggy, other-worldly terrain. The giant trees lumber toward the sky in a palette of chartreuse moss and deep red bark which contrast with the dark conifers. The Oregon coast is the second destination on our journey, a beachcomber’s paradise with layers of sea stacks. We chose the month of July for our workshop because it is the driest month of the summer. This offers the best chance to photograph beams of sunlight filtering through the fog.
Sedona, Arizona – SOLD OUT
Dates: October 17-21, 2018
Sedona, Arizona Cost: $1199
Details: Sedona, Arizona is one of our favorite desert photography locations. The setting for many Hollywood movies, Sedona is home to stunning red rock spires, sandstone mesas, and picturesque Oak Creek Canyon. While autumn will have passed in much of the US, we have timed our trip to coincide with mild temperatures, sunny weather and stunning fall color. Crimson maples and yellow Gambel oak will line the steep sandstone walls of Oak Creek Canyon. Beautiful reflections along streams mirror the sun scrolling down the orange canyon walls. Yucca, ocotillo and prickly pear cactus grow in the vibrant desert, providing terrific macro photography opportunities.
