Details: We offered this class last year and it was very popular. Now both Lightroom and PhotoShop have even more masking features like background and people masks. Tom and Cree will show you how to use masks to quicken your editing process. Darken backgrounds, diminish contrast, blur background elements – all without using layers. We will cover using masks for landscapes, wildlife, portraits and high key editing. If time permits, we will also review “super resolution” and noise control.
If you have not used PhotoShop or Lightroom in awhile, this is the perfect time to jump back in. We think you will be surprised at how much easier it is with masks!
Here are some of the topics we will include:
- Using masks with a brush, radial gradient or linear gradient
- Using sky, object and background masks
- Using the people masks for retouching
- Inverting masks
- Intersecting mask
- Color and luminance range masks
- Super resolution feature
- Removing noise
- Portrait editing without layers
- Editing high key images with masks
Recommended equipment:
- Latest version of LR or PS
- Computer
