Details:  Ready to get creative this winter with macro photography and not even leave your home? Join Tom and Cree for a three day macro photography class that picks up where our spring classes left off. The focus for this class will be everything but flowers. Dust off your Studio in a Box, charge up your Lume Cubes and get ready to try something new.

This class is designed for people who have tried macro photography and just want more. If you own a macro lens and know how to use it, you are a perfect fit. All assignments are designed for photographing at home. Each day will include  90 minutes of demonstrations, tips, techniques and editing suggestions. We will use Zoom to interact online for our sessions

Schedule of topics:

Monday :  The Big Freeze – Ice, Frost and Snowflakes, perfect subjects for macro photography in the winter

Wednesday : Light as a Feather – if you took our bird class and want to get closer, this is the topic for you; also Tantalizing Textures

Friday : Roll the Dice, Use light painting to make your macros come alive!

Recommended equipment:

  • Tripod
  • Camera – DSLR or mirrorless
  • Lenses: Macro or 70-200 with extension tube
  • Optional: Speed light
  • Optional: Studio in a box
  • Optional: Lume Cube
