Details: Imagine drifting to sleep in your own glass igloo as the Northern Lights dance over your head. Join Tom and Cree in Finland as we explore the “happiest country in the world.” We start our photo adventure in the capital city of Helsinki before moving on to the frozen forest of Finnish Lapland. At night we will photograph the aurora borealis and spend out days with sled dog teams, reindeer and snow mobiles.
On this workshop you will:
- Photograph the Northern Lights near heated glass igloos
- Photograph sled dogs and reindeer during the daylight hours
- Photograph on a snow machine tour of the local forest
- Roam the streets of Helsinki with a local guide
- Participate in Image Reviews to improve your photography
- Learn new tips for editing in Lightroom and PhotoShop
Closest Airport: Helsinki Airport
Recommended camera gear:
- 1 or 2 Camera bodies
- Lenses ranging from wide angle 24mm to 70-200mm
- Tripod
- Polarizing filter

Know Before You Go: Rated Moderate. This workshop requires walking short distances in snow at night. Participants will also ride on dog sleds and snow mobiles. Warm weather clothing will be needed.
