Details: Our first Route 66 Workshop was so popular that we added the next segment: Albuquerque to Flagstaff.  Steeped in history and Americana, Route 66 was one of America’s first highways stretching from Chicago, IL to Santa Monica, CA.  During the dustbowl of the 1930s thousands migrated west on Route 66 looking for jobs and a better life. In later years Route 66 was replaced by the interstate highway system, but many segments were preserved and are still drivable today.   More recently many classic neon signs, diners and hotels have been restored, and we plan to photograph some of the best sights along Route 66.

Our route starts on Route 66 in Albuquerque, NM  and continues all the way to Flagstaff, AZ. We will be based out of classic Route 66 hotels during the trip (El Vado, El Rancho and The Wigwam Motel), and have maximized our photography time and minimized our driving time between locations.
